Terms and Conditions

MANUAL BOOKINGS
Manual bookings can be made with the payment of a one off Booking Deposit. This can be paid with a valid card by telephone, cheque by post, or in person at Blackjack’s premises. A non-returnable amount of £99 Inc. Vat, is required and must be paid as soon as possible, otherwise the date will be released for others. Booking Deposits are non-refundable.

ON-LINE BOOKINGS
Online bookings can be made with the payment of a one off Booking Deposit. This can only be paid with a valid debit or credit card online. A non-returnable amount of £99 Inc. Vat is required to book. In addition, online bookings will qualify for a £50 discount.

BALANCE PAYMENTS
All balance and any other associated payments must be paid no later than 14 days before the event date. Crew and Equipment cannot be dispatched until payment has been made in full. Balance payments will be collected automatically on the same card that is used to pay the booking deposit. This applies to customers who have paid the booking deposit by a valid debit/credit card. Customers wishing to pay a balance due by alternative means may do so, so long as payment is made on or before the balance due date. Bookings that do not have balance payments paid/recieved by the balance due date will be deemed cancelled.

PRICES & QUOTATIONS
Prices displayed on the website are inclusive of Vat at the current rate. All package prices are fully inclusive of delivery, labour, and insurance. Future price increases will not apply to customers who have already paid the Booking Deposit. Quotations generated by the website are accurate but are subject to correct information. We reserve the right to override, adjust and increase quotations that are incorrect due to inaccurate information supplied.

INSURANCE & DAMAGE
Our Public Liability insurance covers damage or injury to you, your guests and the venue, caused by either our vehicles, staff or equipment. You, the customer assumes responsibility for all equipment once it is installed at the event premises. It is the responsibility of the customer to arrange appropriate insurance, if deemed necessary, for the event period. Blackjack vehicles or equipment damaged by the customer and/or guests will be charged for automatically at replacement cost to the same card used to pay the booking deposit. In this event a full receipt will be sent to the cardholders address.

CANCELLATION
The customer may cancel the agreement at any time by doing so in writing to our office address. Email cancellations are not accepted. Any booking deposits paid are non-refundable. Late cancellations made within the following time scales will also be liable for the following further charges:

Cancellation charges (if due) will be debited to the same card that was used to pay the booking deposit. This charge will be made at the time of cancellation and will be confirmed in writing to the cardholders address.

MODIFICATIONS
Equipment hired must not be modified or altered by the customer in any way. In particular, cables must not be cut and the wiring of plugs and sockets must be left as found. Any equipment found to be modified or altered and any cables found to be cut or modified will be charged for at current replacement cost.

INSTALLATION
All equipment hired will be suitably and safely installed by a member of competent staff Blackjack reserves the right to withdraw the use of certain equipment if, at the time, it is deemed unsafe to use.

BEHAVIOR
Customers are held fully responsible for their and their Guest’s Behaviour. Blackjack staff will not entertain abusive customers and/or guests, and will cease to perform during instances of threatening behaviour. Blackjack reserves the right to end the booked performance early, without prior notice or refund, in the interests of staff & equipment safety.

OPERATION
Only staff employed by Blackjack may operate equipment. Under no circumstances may unauthorised personnel tamper, move or attempt to use equipment owned by Blackjack. Blackjack cannot accept responsibility for damage to property, or injury to persons caused directly by third party intervention.

PERFORMANCE
Start and Finish times are clearly indicated on the Disco Agreement. These times can be altered, subject to certain circumstances, before the event date. Start & finish times cannot be altered within 14 days of the event date. Finish times cannot be altered during the disco itself. Our staff cannot perform after the finish time agreed, and are not allowed to accept payment, of any kind, for extra services.

DELIVERY & ARRIVAL
Blackjack can give no guarantee to attend the event address at the time stated in the Disco Agreement due to any circumstances that our out of Blackjacks control, i.e. adverse weather conditions, traffic, road closure etc. Best attempts will always be made to deliver goods at the time stated

VENUE RESTRICTIONS
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure equipment booked is suitable for use at the event venue. No refunds, part of full, will be given for non-use of specific equipment that cannot be used due to any venue restrictions imposed. Not all equipment is designed to fit through narrow doorways and/or up staircases. It is the customer’s responsibility to inform Blackjack of any access restrictions that may impede set up or restrict equipment use.

POWER REQUIREMENTS
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that there is sufficient power available on site and in the correct location. For packages 1 and 2 we require 1 x 13 amp socket with 13 amps spare capacity. For packages 3, 4 and 5 or any packages with additional options booked we require 2 separate 13 amp sockets with a total spare capacity of at least 20 amps. For package 6 without options we require 2 separate 13 amp sockets with a total spare capacity of at least 20 amps. For package 6 with options we require 3 separate 13 amp sockets with a total spare capacity of at least 30 Amps. These electrical sockets must be within 10 metres of the disco system area.

FORCE MAJEURE
By booking our services you agree that we shall not be liable for any and all losses, including damages, costs, claims, compensation and other liabilities which arise as a result of any delay or interruption in, or any non-delivery, or missed delivery or failure of the Equipment and/or Services due to circumstances beyond our or any of our suppliers' reasonable control (including, but not limited to, fire, lightning, explosion, war, disorder, flood, industrial dispute, sabotage, weather conditions, road closure, vandalism, traffic congestion, vehicle failure or acts of local or central Government or other competent authorities).

GENERAL
The booking agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales. In the event that the Agreement is translated into any other language, the English language version shall prevail.
